Bring your Feet Alive with Specialist Sports Podiatrist Caleb McInnes
In this episode I meet Specialist Sports Podiatrist and owner of Thrive Sports Medicine Caleb McInnes. Caleb has dual qualifications in Biomedical Science and Podiatry and extensive further education and clinical experience in areas of Human Biomechanics and Physiology. He has been running bare foot training workshops as a specialist in this area for several years. An expert in his field he has a special interest in sports injury assessment, management and performance enhancement addressing biomechanical and lifestyle factors and therefore adopts a holistic whole person, individualised approach to his clinical practice. Caleb is also an elite athlete and has represented Australia in running, duathlon and triathlon. In this episode we discuss the importance of feet as our foundations in health and performance. We explore the role of footwear particular at a time when more of us than ever are walking and running. Caleb explains the importance of strengthening our feet for injury prevention and offers some very practical exercises and advice we can all incorporate into our daily lives.
